Healing and change

Think carefully about the following two statements below.  Choose one and then respond to it in relation to these questions:  What are the ways that healing and change can take place in life?   How does one go through the process of healing and change?  Is it all the same?  How does healing/change reflect culture?  Post your response on your blog.

Cole's actions, thoughts, and words

Directions:
Through a character's words, thoughts and actions, an author reveals a great deal. Describe an action, thought and use a direct quote from Cole in chapters 1-3. Then use two adjectives to describe Cole based on your observations.
Example
Action: Cole lies to the Circle Justice about wanting to heal.
Thought: Cole thinks that Circle Justice is stupid.
Words: "What's in it for me" (referring to Circle Justice)
Cole is selfish and doesn't trust anyone. He only wants to do Circle Justice to get out of jail and doesn't really try to understand what it is all about. Garvey is trying to help Cole but Cole isn't willing to trust and really listen to what he has to say.
